The release of the Windows 11 update has almost completed a year. Microsoft is continuously trying to push and release updates to gather positive feedback from users. The giant started nudging the Windows 10 21H1 users to move to Windows 11. Moreover, for Windows 8.1 users Microsoft urged them to upgrade their devices to Windows 11 to unlock the goodness and enhance their experience.

Recently Microsoft began offering updated Windows with Out of Box experience for the very first time to Windows 10 22H2 users.

Microsoft released an out-of-band update on 30th November 2022. The update is applicable on the following Windows versions

  • Windows 10, version 2004 (Home and Professional only)
  • Windows 10, version 20H2 (Home and Professional only)
  • Windows 10, version 21H1 (Home and Professional only)
  • Windows 10, version 21H2 (Home and Professional only)
  • Windows 10, version 22H2 (Home and Professional only)

How to Download KB5020683 Update?

Windows OOBE (out-of-box experience)

To download the update your device must be connected to the internet. Once you have a stable internet connection you can download the Windows OOBE update via the Windows Update section in Settings App.

Requirements for the Update

The following versions of Windows support the OOBE Windows update.

  • Windows 10, 2004 version

Recommended: KB4586781 and OS Build 19041.630

However, the update can also work on KB4580364 and OS Build 19041.610

  • Windows 10, 20H2 version

Does not require any additional updates.

  • Windows 10, 21H1 version

Does not require any additional updates.

  • Windows 10, 21H2 version

Does not require any additional updates.

  • Windows 10, 22H2 version

Does not require any additional updates.

Note: To apply the updates Restart your device. Also, this update will replace the existing version i.e KB5005716.
